Our Journey
Danpong Healthcare began in September 1989 as Danpong Pharmacy,
founded by Dr. Yaw Adu Gyamfi with a clear mission: to make
healthcare more accessible to the people of Nungua. His dedication to
community wellbeing soon led to the opening of a second pharmacy on the
Spintex Road.
In October 1999, driven by a deeper commitment to serve, Dr. Gyamfi
established a 15-bed clinic equipped with a modern medical laboratory
in addition to the pharmacy. What started as a modest facility gradually
expanded into a full-fledged multi-specialist clinic.
Today, Danpong Healthcare is recognized as a trusted multi-specialist
medical center. With an annex at Freezone Enclave, Tema, and a network of five pharmacies at Baatsona Spintex, Tema Freezones, Teshie, Ho, and Nungua, we continue to uphold our founder’s vision of making quality healthcare accessible to all. In addition, we operate sick bays and infirmaries within select corporate facilities, extending our care directly to workplaces and
